Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before working with M-AutoPerf.com: plans, credits, lead times, account verification and the agent network.
The file service
What is the M-AutoPerf.com file service?
An online service reserved for professionals: you upload the original read of an ECU, choose the services (Stage 1, options…) and download a modified file with corrected checksum, ready to write with your tool.
Which tools does it work with?
With the reading and writing tools on the market: Autotuner, KESS3, K-TAG, Flex, bFlash, CMD Flash, PCM Flash, Dimsport… Upload the file exactly as your tool read it, unencrypted.
How fast do I get my file?
Instantly when a validated map exists for your software. Otherwise a tuner takes the job: 15 to 30 minutes during opening hours, 60 minutes at most at busy times. The estimated lead time is shown before you confirm.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm (Paris time). You can upload files 24/7: automatic deliveries work at any time. Outside opening hours, an on-call tuner may process some jobs between 7 am and 11 pm, with longer lead times.
Is the checksum included?
Yes, always. The checksum status is shown on every delivery.
What if the result is not right?
Request a revision from the job page: revisions are included for 30 days. Back-to-stock is free for any file processed by us.
What happens if a file cannot be done?
The job is cancelled and the credits are returned to your account.
Plans and credits
How do the plans work?
Each plan (Start, Sport, Turbo, Racing, Black Edition) credits your account with a number of credits valid for 30 days from purchase. Each service costs a fixed number of credits (a car Stage 1 = 12 credits), whatever the model.
How much does a Stage 1 cost me?
From €135 excl. VAT with the Start plan down to about €54 excl. VAT with the Black Edition plan. Once your account is approved, the margin simulator in your professional area calculates what you earn from your selling price.
What if I use all my credits before the end of the month?
Take a new plan, whichever you want: it runs for another 30 days. Credits that expire first are always used first.
Are unused credits carried over?
No. Plan credits expire 30 days after purchase.
Is there a commitment?
No. The plan renews every month by card payment; change plan or stop the renewal in one click from your account, free of charge. You can also buy one month without renewal.
Can I change plan?
Yes, at any time. The new plan starts immediately for 30 days; credits you already have remain valid until their own expiry date.
What is the priority included in Turbo, Racing and Black Edition for?
Your manual jobs are processed before normal-priority jobs, at no extra credit.
Professional account
Who can open an account?
Automotive professionals only: garages, tuners, remapping specialists, dealerships, sole traders in the trade… The service is not open to private individuals.
Why do you verify my company?
To keep the service for professionals, prevent fraud and issue accurate invoices. Your account is activated as soon as the check is done.
Which documents do I need?
A company registration document less than 3 months old: Kbis extract, French national business register (RNE) extract or INSEE status notice for sole traders, or your country's trade register extract. Add your registration number and, if you have one, your EU VAT number. Accepted formats: PDF, JPG, PNG (10 MB maximum).
I am a sole trader (auto-entrepreneur), can I register?
Yes. Enter your SIRET and tick « My company does not charge VAT ». Our invoices include French VAT of 20 %, which you cannot recover under the VAT exemption scheme: the margin simulator in your account takes this into account.
How long does validation take?
We check every request by hand during opening hours, usually within the working day. You receive an email as soon as your account is active.
My company is outside France, is that possible?
Yes. Enter your local registration number and your VAT number. For European Union companies, the VAT number is checked automatically with the European Commission (VIES).
Becoming an M-AutoPerf.com agent
What is an M-AutoPerf.com agent?
A professional who sells tuning under the M-AutoPerf.com brand, with our files and our promotional campaigns. It remains an independent company.
How much does it cost?
Nothing more than your plan: no entry fee, no royalties, no exclusivity. You simply choose the plan that suits your volume.
How do the promotional campaigns work?
We regularly run promotional campaigns to reach as many customers as possible. Agents on the Turbo, Racing or Black Edition plan at the time of the campaign take part.
Are selling prices imposed?
No. We communicate a recommended retail price (€598 incl. VAT for a Stage 1); you remain free to set your own prices.
What is the communication pack?
An optional service at €500 excl. VAT for one month, ad budget included: you pay us for the pack and we use it to run your Facebook and Instagram ads in your area. Order it whenever you want from your account, from the date of your choice (for example from 20 November to 20 December), and we send you the leads directly.
How do I become an agent?
Open your professional account, choose your plan, then fill in the application form on the Agents page. We call you to get to know you.
What do you expect from your agents?
Careful work and respect for the M-AutoPerf.com charter and the law: written information for every customer, a signed document before any work, and no advertising for the removal of emission control devices.
Payment and invoices
How do I pay?
By card, via Stripe (secure payment). The monthly renewal is charged to the same card.
Are prices excluding VAT?
Yes, all our prices exclude VAT. French VAT of 20 % is added for companies established in France, including sole traders. EU companies with a valid VAT number are invoiced without VAT (reverse charge); outside the EU, French VAT does not apply.
Where can I find my invoices?
In your account, under Orders and invoices. Every purchase and every renewal generates an invoice.
Regulations and responsibilities
Who is responsible for how the files are used?
Files are supplied to professionals only, as a technical service. The professional who works on the vehicle is solely responsible for the installation, for informing their customer and for complying with the regulations of their country.
What must the professional do before tuning a vehicle?
Check the vehicle's condition (diagnostics, fault codes, maintenance), save the original read, inform the customer in writing of the consequences of the work and have them sign an information and consent document before any modification. A ready-to-print template is available in your professional area, under Client documents.
What must the customer be told?
In particular: possible loss of the manufacturer warranty; obligation to declare the modification to their insurer; possible non-compliance of the vehicle with its type approval and registration certificate if driven on public roads; increased wear of some parts (clutch, gearbox, turbo…); the indicative nature of the stated gains; the possibility of returning to stock.
Are the services allowed on public roads?
It depends on the country: rules on type approval, emissions, road safety and roadworthiness testing are specific to each one, and some services may be prohibited on a vehicle used on public roads. Before any work, the agent checks the applicable regulations, informs the customer in writing and has them sign the information document. M-AutoPerf.com supplies files to professionals and is responsible neither for their installation nor for their use.
Which documents should be kept?
The information document signed by the customer, the original read, the repair order and the invoice for the work. They protect you in the event of a dispute, an inspection or a claim.
Can M-AutoPerf.com refuse a request?
Yes. We may refuse a job or suspend an account in the event of use contrary to the law or to our terms and conditions.
Can't find your answer?
